Awards for CES&T related UGent staff

On December 18, the winners of the awards for exceptional contribution with respect to teaching (Minerva), research (Prometheus) and scientific and societal services (Hermes) were celebrated in the aula of Ghent University. We are proud to announce that CES&T has received 2 awards. This year all nominees were honoured.

In the Hermes category, Veerle Lambert and Sylvie Bauwens were honoured, whereas in the Prometheus category Prof. Nico Boon was rewarded.

Study day on Integrated Water Management in Developing Countries

Study day organized by UA, UGent and the Antwerp Maritime Academy.

Take the opportunity to listen to professionals in water management from Asia (India, Bangladesh), Central Africa (Nigeria, Uganda, Kenia, Ethiopia), and The Middle-East (Palestine). Learn about the problems associated with water pollution, droughts and floods they are facing in their region and discuss current and future solutions.

On Tuesday, 02/12/2014 at 19h30 the Research Coordination Office organizes an information session for foreign master students, titled “A PhD at Ghent University: how to start?”.

During the presentation the administrative steps in order to get accepted as a PhD student, as well as scholarship possibilities, will be presented.
